For those of you who don’t live in Japan, there is a distributor here called Uplink, who have picked up where the ATG left off in many ways. They are responsible for bringing in the goods for Japanese audiences. A large catalogue of DVDs featuring independent Japanese film and internationally recognized classics, published works on film & media studies, and run a single “electronic theatre” in Tokyo, one of the few independent theaters that remain today.
